1. Declaration of Covenants, Conditions, and Restrictions
The “Declaration of Covenants” establish our Common Interest Community (CIC) and require the establishment of the Stanley Forest Homeowners’ Association (SFHOA).
The Association is required to be registered by the Commonwealth of Virginia State Corporation Commission (SCC)
The Association is also required to be licensed by the Commonwealth Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation (DPOR)

3. Architectural Committee Rules
The Architectural Committee Rules provide general guidance
to supplement the Declaration of Covenants and the HOA Articles of
Incorporation By-Laws regarding requirements to maintain the
architectural design of this community to uphold and improve our
property values. The Rules were first published with the establishment
of the Stanley Forest Subdivision in 1987. They were revised in
December 1990 and are again revised in January 2019 to update the Rules
for consideration of updated laws and regulations; updated materials
available such as newer composite wood-like materials; and HOA Board
approved changes since 1990.
Article V of the Architectural Committee Rules describes the procedures for seeking approval for improvements and modifications to our properties. 4. Association Policies
The Stanley Forest Homeowner”s Association Board of Directors issues additional definitions, policies, procedures, and guidance in the form of Association Policy Resolutions. These resolutions guide application of our basic Declaration of Covenants, By-Laws, and other foundation documents.
