There has been several complaints about residents from a different neighborhood parking in our neighborhood during the day and overnight. Please note that all streets in our neighborhood is maintained by VDOT and is considered a public road, with the exceptions for the pipe-stems. Pipe-stems in our neighborhood are not state maintained and our considered private property.
If you notice a parking violation, residents may call the non-emergency police line and ask for Parking Authority to come out, or they may go to the following website; Prince William County Parking Enforcement, to report a parking violation. Parking violations include the following: blocking a mailbox, blocking a drive way or road, blocking a fire hydrant, parking to close to the stop signs (must be parked at least 30ft away).
For private property owned by homeowners, private property and no trespassing signs may be posted so that the public is aware they are not to park there with out authorization of the owner. A homeowner has the right to call a tow company to have an unauthorized vehicle towed that is on their private property. Understand that before calling a tow company, it is up to the homeowner to make the driver/owner of the vehicle aware they are on private property and that they are trespassing via orally or by writing.
