On December 15, 2020, the Prince William County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved changes to Chapter 22 (Refuse) of the County Code. There are several changes to yard waste, trash, and recycling that may impact our garbage collection provided by our various commercial refuse/garbage removers.
A Notice Letter was provided to our HOA Board on 5 March 2021 by the Prince William Department of Public Works and is provided for your information and download if desired
Note that these changes for yard waste source separation won’t take place until the fall timeframe to allow commercial trash haulers adequate time to obtain equipment and supplies and implement the changes to the County Code. Thus, expect forthcoming directions and guidance from our commercial garbage collection companies in the months to come.
